BROKER'S UPDATE:

Hello from Snowshoe Mountain.  Summer is finally upon us on the mountain and we are all very excited about it.  Please check out Snowshoe’s event schedule at http://www.snowshoemtn.com/events-and-activities/ and come up some time to escape the heat and humidity.  The WV State Hog Rally, 22^nd Annual Chili Cook-off, 10^th Annual Blues/Brews and BBQ  and 14^th Annual Wine and Jazz Festival are coming soon and all are always loads of fun.  If you are ever on the mountain please stop by our Village office and say hello as we always like seeing and meeting you.  In real estate we are still struggling with pricing but there are more buyers all the time.  There have been 88 properties close in the Snowshoe area in the last year and our office alone had 5 offers in the last week.  This fall we hope to turn the corner a bit as we go into a very busy winter.  There are amazing deals in all complexes so let us know your area of interest and budget and we can send you some to review that we believe are “Hot Deals”.  Again we appreciate you taking the time to open these emails as we know you are very busy.  Please let us know if we can ever assist you in anyway.

Great Conditions, Spring Pass Deals and March Events Give Skiers & Boarders Reasons to Celebrate this Month

 

SNOWSHOE, West Virginia - (March 5, 2013) – Snowshoe Mountain’s winter season got off to an early start when major October storms allowed the resort to match its earliest opening date in a decade. Old Man Winter has continued to bless the West Virginia ski area with significant late season snowfall, and forecasters say more is on the way. This consistent winter weather, coupled with record skier turnouts, has given the resort fantastic setup for extending the season all the way to the end of March.

 

“We received over three feet of new snow in February,” says Frank DeBerry, President & COO of Snowshoe Mountain. “And the weather and conditions just keep getting better just in time for late-season deals and specials to keep people from pointing to the beach.”

 

This strong snow season has also fueled record sales for next season’s winter pass. The resort’s Unlimited Pass remains available for $249 through March 31^st, and in just the first 10 days on sale, pass sales have already exceeded all of the season passes sold the previous two years combined.  “Conditions are great, the snow continues to fall, and the price is right, so people want to get their pass now, enjoy a great March of skiing and riding, and then be set for next year,” says DeBerry.

The resort chose the closing date of March 31^st in an effort to meet most of the surrounding area Spring Break dates. Starting March 8^th, Snowshoe will be hosting the first ever Ballhooter Spring Break Festival - a four-day music and college celebration destined to become an annual tradition. The event features live music nightly on a festival stage in the Snowshoe Village, plus The Ballhooter Beach Party presented by Bacardi, live comedy shows, on-snow games, video contests, race and terrain park competitions, and the first-ever Red Bull DJ Battle at Snowshoe. The resort is offering college students deeply discounted packages on lodging and lift tickets as well.

NEW BROKER FOR SNOWSHOE MOUNTAIN HOMES

Spence Woody is the new Broker of Snowshoe Mountain Homes. Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee Spence and his wife Carol moved to Snowshoe in November, 1996 for one winter. Like many at Snowshoe he fell in love with the summers and the resort and made it their home. Spence worked in different areas of the resort for the first 9 years, and then he became a Realtor in 2005. Spence has bought and sold multiple properties in the area and lives at the base of the mountain with his wife Carol and daughter McKenna. Spence and his family love to enjoy the resort, county and travel when they have time. Please stop by the Village office and say hello!
