Broker's New Flash on the Real Estate Market at Snowshoe, WV

We’re seeing some signs of real estate beginning to recover at Snowshoe. The number of unit sales is pacing about 20% ahead of last year, while the average price per sold property is even with last year, after a few years of decline. We’re also seeing in some neighborhoods latest sale prices higher than prior sale prices for the same unit type. And with ski season winding down and interest rates still at historical lows, now might be your most advantageous time to buy.

SNOWSHOE HOSTS 5TH ANNUAL WARFIGHTER SPORTS SKI CAMP

Over 30 wounded Iraq and Afghanistan soldiers and their families

enjoy winter activities at the resort

Snowshoe Mountain, West Virginia-- Wednesday, March 7, 2012--–Over 30 severely wounded Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans and their families gathered at Snowshoe Mountain for the 5^th Annual Warfighter Sports Camp for a weekend of skiing, riding and winter activities on March 3rd and 4^th.

Rob Mueller, Chapter Services Manager of the non-profit organization, Disabled Sports USA, attended the weekend’s festivities.  The Warfighter Sports Camp is one of the programs offered by The Challenged Athletes of West Virginia, a chapter of Disabled Sports USA.

Members of the Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corps performed a flag ceremony as part of the weekend’s opening ceremony.  Harlan Whiting of the Honor Corps presented Snowshoe Foundation director Coby Brown with a certificate to recognize the Foundation’s grant which allowed the Honor Corps to purchase 109 American flags—one for each classroom in all of the Pocahontas County’s schools.

 

Introducing Our Broker

Bob Elwood is the Broker of Snowshoe Mountain Homes. He went to undergraduate and graduate school in Virginia, has a background in law, and 30 years experience in the planning, development, marketing, sales and property management of planned communities in Indiana, Naples, Florida, the island of Aruba, and now Snowshoe. His interests include skiing, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, and historic preservation. He resides with his wife, Tatiana and two girls, Gigi and Martina, in nearby Green Bank. Bob is fluent in Spanish, and also holds the position of Director of Association Management for Snowshoe.
